Released as a single from their eponymous debut album, the Meters recorded a follow-up, Sophisticated Cissy, which was included on the same album. The song was also featured in the film Jackie Brown. The Incredible Bongo Band, also known as Michael Viners Incredible Bongo Band, a record artist manager and executive at MGM Records. Viner was called on to supplement the soundtrack to the B-film The Thing With Two Heads. Super Freak is a single produced by Rick James. The song, co-written by James and Alonzo Miller, was first released on James album Street Songs and became one of James signature songs.
