I picked up this cd for my wife's surf music collection for a 2012 xmas gift. She had seen their name somewhere and thought it was a fake, and she was amused. I checked them out, found out they were a real band, and decided to give them a try. With my recent bad luck choosing surf bands that had singing on them, I was hoping these guys just kept their mouths shut and played. And the Glasgow Tiki Shakers do. In spades. My wife is happy, I'm planning on getting any of their other cds I can find, to add to her huge collection. Buy these guys if you can! - By david666
This is my second Glasgow Tiki Shakers cd, and it's even better than the first. Hard to believe because I liked the first cd too! There's some absolutely beautiful dreamy ballad surf songs. Titles such as Pele's Tears, Ray Bay, Aqasun, Long Summer are just so cool. My fave rave surf songs are the dreamy tunes so I'm in heaven. I like rockers too and there's some of those on this disc. "Captain Fishsticks" kinda sounds like Duane Eddy has joined a surf band. Production on this disc is better than the first, and once again all tunes written by guitarist Bill McGlynn. If you like surf, twang or even smooth jazz I just don't know how you won't like this cd. Top marks for a top band. - R. Davey
